MDE Operator Certification Portal 

Wednesday, September 2nd, 9:00am - 10:00am in Room 202

Instructed by Ronald Ward and Hosted by MDE


Learning Objectives: Attendees will learn about MDE's new self-service operator portal which is being developed.  System provides one location for all certification and training information for operators.  Operators can renew, convert, apply to examinations, etc. through their new portals.

Instructor Biography: Ron Ward has been an IT Project Manager at the Maryland Department of the Environment for the past year and a half. He has worked closely with the Board of Waterworks and Waste System Operators to develop the Water Application & Verification E-System (WAVES). Outside of work, Ron enjoys spending time with his family and pets.

Friday, September 4th @ 9:00 AM - You must apply directly with the Maryland Board of Waterworks and Waste Systems Operators to sit for the Maryland Certification Exam.  

No more than 100 applications will be accepted for this exam.
